The Little Dog School

Does your little dog bark on walks?

Do they growl if someone says hello to them in a cafe?

Are they overwhelmed in the busy city, pulling and zigzagging on the lead?

At our school, we offer 3 month long terms - this is typically the time it takes for students to see significant improvements in behaviour, with issues often even completely resolved. Our approach is to understand and address the cause behind the behaviour rather than just managing it with control, punishment or strict obedience - this is why it takes time, as well as effort and consistency from the humans! We’re not interested in quick fixes because we know they don’t work in the long term, and they don’t actually help the dog go from stressed to calm.

At the end of the day, you don’t care if your dog can do a perfect heel, you care that your dog can walk calmly beside you and trust you to keep them safe so they don’t have to worry. Our goals are calm and happy walks, a peaceful home, and being able to take our little dogs around this fantastic city and actually enjoy it!

  • "Joining Emilie’s pack walks has been such a special experience for us and for Tilly. There’s something really unique about the community she’s created — it never feels intimidating or judgy, just genuinely supportive and welcoming. You show up as you are, with whatever your dog is working through, and you feel understood. You can see so clearly that dogs aren’t just Emilie’s job — they’re her whole heart. On the pack walks, her passion just shines. She notices everything, celebrates the little wins, reassures the worried humans, and somehow keeps it all feeling relaxed and fun at the same time. It’s such a gift. Our nervous little sausage dog, Tilly, absolutely loves being there. Watching her grow in confidence and actually enjoy being around other dogs has been amazing — and she has such a soft spot for Emilie and especially her dog, Molly! Seeing Tilly feel safe and happy in that environment means more to us than we can say. We’re just so grateful to be part of this pack. It feels like more than dog training — it feels like a community and a family 🐾"

  • "I started working with Emilie as I needed some in person support with my 4 year old male chihuahua and my new female puppy chihuahua both with different challenges to navigate and I was struggling with managing 2 dogs. The 1:1 sessions and the social pack walks have been imperative and transformational in addressing the challenges I bring and add to the issues as well as learning to understand, read and react to my dogs needs better, in addition it’s helping me to read situations when out in the community which enables me to support and advocate for my dogs to best of my abilities. I have been working with Emilie for about 5 months now. I would say I’m less of an anxious dog owner although the work for this is ongoing, Emilie has helped me to be able to achieve off lead walking for my dogs, recall, addressing stress when travelling by car / public transport, confidence building, building trust and respect with my dogs whilst embracing and encouraging their personalities. Bonus is that it also brings people who otherwise may have never met together on the social walks, who are all working on different things to expose our dogs to a variety of personalities and challenges in a safe and welcoming environment. I honestly could not recommend Emilie enough."

  • "Joining the Little Dog Club has been a breath of fresh air a warm, supportive and totally non-judgemental community. Instead of blame for my pup’s tricky behaviour I get understanding, practical help and plenty of encouragement. It’s honestly the best thing I did for both of us. If you’re a small dog pawrent in London looking for a community of fellow owners tackling similar challenges this is the place to be. We absolutely love being members."

  • "We can’t recommend Emilie enough! She is an incredible dog trainer whose understanding of dogs truly feels unmatched. We have never met someone more curious and passionate about learning about dog behaviour, Emilie never stops learning and improving her skills. What sets her apart is that Emilie doesn’t believe in a one size fits all approach, she takes the time to really understand each dog’s personality, behavior, and needs, and tailors her methods accordingly. Emilie helped us with several aspects of training for our two dogs, and the difference has been remarkable. Not only did Emilie guide our dogs with patience and skill, but she also gave us the confidence and knowledge to continue reinforcing that training at home. We’re so grateful for her expertise and genuine care!!"

  • "Joining the Little Dog Club has been the best decision for my cockapoo Bailey. Emilie has been incredibly supportive in helping us resocialise Bailey and work through his reactivity towards other dogs. We absolutely love attending the weekly social walks. It’s been so heartwarming to see Bailey continue to build his confidence and social skills around other dogs. We are so grateful for Emilie and the Little Dog Club 🐾"

  • "Working with Emilie over the past few weeks has been nothing short of transformative. Every session brings new insights into managing my dog Zelda’s reactivity, and I’ve learned more than I ever expected - not just about training, but about truly understanding my dog. Emilie has an extraordinary depth of knowledge and brings a calm, compassionate energy to everything she does. Zelda connected with her instantly - and so did I. Emilie has created a safe, nurturing space that feels like a breath of fresh air. Her Little Dog Club is more than just training; it’s a community rooted in empathy and understanding. We’re on the full comprehensive membership and absolutely love our 1-1 walks with her. She takes the time to get to know each dog and human individually, and the result is a beautifully balanced, supportive group. If you’re reading this and considering joining - do it. Emilie is a walking encyclopaedia of dog psychology, and her guidance will change your life and your dog’s for the better.

  • "We met Emily about a year ago through our fabulous trainer, who sadly lives too far away to support us regularly. I immediately felt a connection with her because she was so understanding about the challenges I have with my little Chihuahua, Pip. The tips and tricks she shared with us during our walks were incredibly helpful and have continued to make a big difference. Soon after, she founded The Little Dog Club, and we joined right from the start. It’s amazing to be part of such a wonderful community where no question is ever considered silly and there’s no judgement or generic advice. Our WhatsApp group is my first go-to whenever I need help or simply want to share a win. Whenever we’re able to join the social walks, it’s even better to meet the other owners and their sweet dogs in person. Everyone is understanding and respectful, and we feel completely safe in this environment. Emily is the heart and soul of these walks and always makes sure every dog and human has a great experience. Pip and I are so happy to be part of it!"
